Characteristics
The "Super Climber" model boasts a distinctive fin-like shape machined
along the outer circumference of the hub body, showcasing a unique design element.
This is the "outer elastic body structure."
The hub body and shaft are made of high-strength titanium alloy (Ti-6AL-4V).
The "outer elastic body structure" forms a floating structure that absorbs unwanted external stresses,
such as road impacts by elastic deformation.

P5 grade ceramic bearings are used for the bearings.
The material, rigidity, performance, durability, and all other aspects have been eliminated without any compromise.

"One-piece solid body"

NC machining with extreme precision.
Aircraft jet engines require powerful propulsion and stable high rotation. The bearings that support the main shafts of these engines often have an elastic shock-absorbing structure in the bearing body. This structure reduces engine vibration and prevents engine damage caused by bird strike. GOKISO through-disk hubs are used in many engines.
For the GOKISO through-disk hub, we sought an elastic structure that maintains high rotational performance of the bearing in terms of performance, ultra-precision machining, and high rigidity yet light weight. We adopted the titanium alloy Ti6Al4V for the climber structure and shaft from which the elastic structure is machined.

The Super Climber's hub body is machined from solid titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V.
The front hub consists of a cylindrical body that supports the bearings
and a flange for stretching the spokes, which are connected by 16 "fingers" on each side.
These "fingers" absorb all external stresses through elastic deformation.
They support the left and right bearings.
The bearings are free from any impact or distortion that could hinder their rotation.
 
 
 
Mirror polished by hand one by one
from high-precision CNC machining.
The hub body is machined from solid titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V,
and the final finishing is done by hand, one by one, to create a near mirror finish.
This process serves two primary goals: enhancing the hub body's appearance
and ensuring its long-term durability, including its elastic structure.
P5 grade(DIN)high-precision bearing
The "Climer" model employs P5 class precision bearing. Unlike "GOKISO" hub or "Super Climber" hub, single row bearings of larger diameter are placed on both sides of the hub. Changing double row bearing to single row bearing results in lighter weight, while maintaining load capacity by employing larger diameter bearings.


GOKISO’s shock absorbing and elastic body suspension is the ultimate solution to axle deformation.
Same as the "Super Climber" model, the "Climber" model has the elastic body suspension structure on the perimeter of the hub body to absorb the impact load from a road surface.
Moreover, since the elastic body structure floats flanges from body shell, the external input from the rim and spokes do not reach a bearing directly.
When the hub receives the external force that comes from rider’s weight, impacts, and strong torque of pedaling, its flanges change its form slightly according to stress.
However, the elastic body structure of the super climber model can continue maintaining the perfect rotation without deformation of bearings due to separated flange and body.
Spherical nut and washer
A hub shaft could get deformed during wheel installation when clamping the wheel to the folk or the frame using a quick lever.
Our spherical nut and washer are the successful solution for these problems. By keeping the hub shaft straight regardless of frame deformation, we have achieved the highest rotation accuracy without abrading or damaging the bearing.
